Benefiting from clear predawn weather, SpaceX crews launched a Falcon 9 rocket carrying AST SpaceMobile's BlueBird 8, 9 and 10 broadband satellites on Wednesday, June 17, from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.

The rocket rumbled skyward from Launch Complex 40 at 2:39 a.m., with the first-stage booster scoring a landing atop SpaceX's drone ship A Shortfall of Gravitas in the Atlantic Ocean.

Looking ahead, another Falcon 9 will launch the company's new uncrewed Starfall spacecraft on a morning demonstration mission Sunday, June 21, a Federal Aviation Administration operations plan advisory shows.

That launch window will extend from 6:43 a.m. to 11:26 a.m. at Launch Complex 40
