SpaceX is targeting Thursday, October 9 for a Falcon 9 launch of the KF-03 mission to orbit from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. Liftoff is targeted for 9:34 p.m. ET with additional opportunities available until 11:48 p.m. ET. If needed, a backup launch opportunity is available on Friday, October 10 starting at 9:12 p.m. ET.

A live webcast of this mission will begin about 15 minutes prior to liftoff, which you can watch here and on X @SpaceX. You can also watch the webcast on the X TV app.

This will be the second flight for the Falcon 9 first stage booster supporting this mission, which previously launched KF-02. After stage separation, the first stage will land on the Just Read the Instructions droneship, which will be stationed in the Atlantic Ocean.

SpaceX pushes back Amazon satellite launch try to Saturday night from Cape Canaveral, Florida

SpaceX has pushed back its planned launch of a payload of Amazon Project Kuiper internet satellites roughly 48 hours, with a new target time set for Saturday, Oct. 11, from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.

SpaceX is now eyeing a Saturday night launch window extending from 8:41 p.m. to 11:15 p.m. to send up a Falcon 9 rocket from Launch Complex 40. Mission: Deploy Amazon's 28 satellites into low-Earth orbit, 289 miles above the Earth's surface.

The Space Force's 45th Weather Squadron had only predicted a 45% chance of favorable weather for the initial launch target date of Thursday, Oct. 9, as a low-pressure system spun up near the Florida peninsula. Cumulus clouds, lightning and surface electric fields loomed as threats — coupled with a high chance of bad booster recovery weather offshore of the Carolinas.

In Brevard County, the National Weather Service has issued a coastal flood advisory through 8 p.m. Friday; a high rip current risk through late Saturday night; and a coastal flood watch from Friday evening through late Saturday night.

No sonic booms should occur during Saturday's SpaceX liftoff. Rather, after soaring skyward along a northeasterly trajectory, the rocket's first-stage booster will target landing aboard a SpaceX drone ship out at sea just more than eight minutes after liftoff.

After days of delays due to nor'easter conditions in the Atlantic Ocean, SpaceX launched a batch of 24 Amazon Project Kuiper internet satellites on Oct. 13

The liftoff occurred at 9:58 p.m. with the Falcon 9 rocket soaring into a clear star-filled sky from Launch Complex 40 in Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. No Brevard County sonic booms were heard, as the rocket's booster landed on the A Shortfall of Gravitas drone ship out in the Atlantic Ocean.

The mission − referred to as KF-03 − marked the third time SpaceX has launched the Amazon Project Kuiper internet satellites atop a Falcon 9 rocket.

Meanwhile, the Space Coast received a preshow, as the 7:23 p.m. Starship launch from Starbase, Texas, provided a 'jellyfish effect' as Starship soared in the skies over Florida.
