When is the next rocket launch in Florida?

The next launch for Cape Canaveral is set for no earlier than 1:49 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 27 from NASA's Kennedy Space Center Pad 39A.

The mission is SpaceX's next batch of Starlink internet satellites, titled Starlink 10-11.

SpaceX launches Starlink 10-56 mission from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida

Pleasant weather should be 80% favorable for this morning's SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket launch just after sunrise from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, the Space Force's 45th Weather Squadron reported.

Welcome to FLORIDA TODAY Space Team live coverage of SpaceX's Starlink 10-56 mission from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. SpaceX is targeting 7:10 a.m. to send the mission into flight from Launch Complex 40.

After ascending along a northeasterly trajectory, the Falcon 9 will deploy a batch of 28 Starlink broadband satellites into low-Earth orbit. The primary weather watch items: cumulus clouds and anvil clouds.

No Brevard County sonic booms should occur. The rocket's first-stage booster will target landing aboard the SpaceX drone ship Just Read the Instructions out at sea 8 minutes, 23 seconds after liftoff.

Sunrise is scheduled for 6:58 a.m. in Cape Canaveral, according to The Old Farmer's Almanac.

Update 7:18 a.m.: The Falcon 9 first-stage booster just landed aboard SpaceX's drone ship Just Read the Instructions in the Atlantic Ocean, completing its second mission.

Update 7:10 a.m.: Liftoff! SpaceX has just launched the Falcon 9 carrying 28 Starlink satellites from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.

Update 7:05 a.m.: SpaceX's launch webcast is now posted above, right below our countdown clock.

Liftoff is scheduled in five minutes from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.

"Congratulations to @SpaceX for a successful launch and splashdown of Starship! This brings America one critical step closer to returning to the Moon and reaching Mars," U.S. Rep. Mike Haridopolos, R-Indian Harbour Beach, said in a tweet. The congressman represents Florida's Space Coast.

Update 6:54 a.m.: The upcoming mission will mark the Falcon 9 first-stage booster’s second flight, SpaceX reported. The booster previously flew a Starlink mission.
