Canada’s trio of next-generation of Earth observation satellites known as the RADARSAT Constellation Mission is scheduled to launch in mid-June. What will the launch look like? How will the satellites be deployed?

To answer those questions the Canadian Space Agency and the satellite prime contractor, MDA, have released the following animation.

The video includes this description: Animation of the launch and deployment of the three satellites of the RADARSAT Constellation Mission (RCM). The RCM will take daily scans of our country and its waters collecting invaluable information. This important data helps captains safely navigate through Arctic waters, farmers maximize their crop yields and first responders save lives, among other solutions.

The RADARSAT Constellation Mission is tentatively scheduled to launch on Tuesday, June 11. What will the three satellites mean to the lives of everyday Canadians?

In this video the Canadian Space Agency outlines how the trio of satellites will help Canadians. According to the video description the satellites will “take daily scans of our country and its waters collecting invaluable information.
