Second Vostochny launch set for Nov 28, Soyuz-2.1B rocket to put Meteor-M satellite into orbit
MOSCOW. The next launch from the Vostochy cosmodrome is scheduled for late November, Roscosmos said.
"One launch from the Vostochny cosmodrome is scheduled for November 28 under a federal program. A Soyuz-2.1B launch vehicle will put the Meteor-M spacecraft into orbit," Roscosmos said in a statement obtained by Interfax.
In addition, two launches from the Baikonur cosmodrome are planned under the International Space Station program in September and October.
"A Soyuz-FG launch vehicle will put the Soyuz MS-06 manned spacecraft into orbit on September 13, and a Soyuz 2.A launch vehicle will put the Progress MS-07 cargo spacecraft into orbit on October 12," the statement said.
Two launches from Baikonur under a commercial program are planned in September as well. Proton-M launch vehicles will put Amazonas-5 and AsiaSat 9 satellites into orbit on September 11 and 28, respectively.
Two more launches under federal and commercial programs are scheduled to take place from the Plesetsk cosmodrome.
"A Soyuz-2.1B launch vehicle will put a Glonass-M spacecraft into orbit on September 22, and a Rokot launch vehicle will put the Sentinel-5 satellite into orbit on October 9-12," it said.
