SpaceX targets Monday-Tuesday rocket launches on Starlink missions in Florida

After remaining earthbound during the Thanksgiving holiday week, SpaceX's Florida fleet of Falcon 9 rockets will resume launching into orbit with a pair of Starlink missions Monday, Dec. 1, and Tuesday, Dec. 2.

SpaceX's first four-hour launch window will extend from 12 a.m. to 4 a.m. Monday from pad 39A at NASA's Kennedy Space Center.

Then, the second Falcon 9 window will open from 3:16 p.m. to 7:16 p.m. Tuesday from Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.

Each rocket will ascend to the southeast, then deploy 29 Starlink satellites into low-Earth orbit. These Monday-Tuesday liftoffs will follow SpaceX launching the unprecedented 100th and 101st orbital rockets during a single calendar year from the Cape.

SpaceX launches the Starlink 6-79 mission at 2:53 a.m. Nov. 22 from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.

"This is an incredible milestone for Florida’s Space Coast, and the teams that make spaceflight feel routine and remarkable all at once should be proud," U.S. Rep. Mike Haridopolos, R-Indian Harbour Beach, said in a Nov. 21 tweet.

"Here’s to a sky full of satellites and a future full of possibilities," Haridopolos said.

Looking ahead, SpaceX is also targeting Sunday, Dec. 7, for another Starlink mission from KSC. Two days later, SpaceX aims to launch a Falcon 9 at 2:16 p.m. Dec. 9 from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station on the NROL-77 national security mission.

NROL-77 will mark SpaceX's third national security launch this year for the Space Force's Space Systems Command and the National Reconnaissance Office.

"The momentum behind #100andBeyond continues! Last week’s successful launch of Starlink 6-79 officially marked the 101st launch of the year for the #SpaceCoast," Space Launch Delta 45 officials said in a Facebook post on Tuesday, Nov. 25.

"As previously noted, this means the output from our installation alone has now matched the world record for annual orbital launches achieved by any other single nation," the post said.

"Move over Elphaba and Glinda, SLD 45 are the ones out here #DefyingGravity," the post said, referring to the stars of "Wicked."

Update Dec. 1, 3 a.m. EST (0800 UTC): SpaceX landed its booster on the droneship.

SpaceX kicked off the month of December with a launch supporting its Starlink broadband internet satellite constellation.

Prior to this flight, SpaceX has launched it’s workhorse Falcon 9 rocket a total of 152 times in 2025, with missions to assemble its Starlink constellation accounting for 110 of those. It closed out November with 13 launches in total, 10 of which were for Starlink.

The company launched the Starlink 6-86 mission from Launch Complex 39A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center for 2:44 a.m. EST (0744 UTC) on Dec. 1. The rocket flew on a south-easterly trajectory upon departing from Florida’s Space Coast.

SpaceX launched the Starlink 6-86 mission using the Falcon 9 booster with the tail number 1095. This was the rocket’s fourth flight after previously launching Starlink missions 12-15, 10-56 and 10-52.

Nearly 8.5 minutes after liftoff, B1095 performed a landing on the drone ship, ‘Just Read the Instructions’, positioned in the Atlantic Ocean to the east of The Bahamas.

This was the 144th landing on this vessel and the 541st booster landing to date.
