Soyuz TMA-07M Spacecraft

ISS034-E-010181 (21 Dec. 2012) --- As the International Space Station and Soyuz TMA-07M spacecraft were making their relative approaches on Dec. 21, one of the Expedition 34 crew members on the orbital outpost captured this photo of the Soyuz. The background is in northern Algeria, near the Atlas Mountains. Inside the arriving spacecraft were astronaut Chris Hadfield of the Canadian Space Agency, cosmonaut RomanRomanenko of Russia's Federal Space Agency and NASA astronaut Tom Marshburn.

ISS034-E-010167 (21 Dec. 2012) --- As the International Space Station and Soyuz TMA-07M spacecraft were making their relative approaches on Dec. 21, one of the Expedition 34 crew members on the orbital outpost captured this photo of the distant Soyuz, which appears very small near center of the frame.

ISS034-E-009787 (25 Dec. 2012) --- Canadian Space Agency astronaut Chris Hadfield strums his guitar in the International Space Station's Cupola on Dec. 25, 2012. Hadfield, a long-time member of an astronaut band called Max Q, later joined with the other five Expedition 34 crew members in a more spacious location to provide an assortment of Christmas carols for the public.

Ornaments Adorn the Russian Segment of the Station

ISS034-E-009706 (23 Dec. 2012) --- Ornaments adorn the Russian segment of the International Space Station in preparation for Christmas. This scene is in the Zvezda module, but not too far away, on the NASA side of the outpost, stockings and other decorations were soon being prepared for the holiday.

Kevin Ford Welcomes Chris Hadfield and Tom Marshburn

ISS034-E-009571 (21 Dec. 2012) --- Expedition 34 Commander Kevin Ford (right) of NASA welcomes astronauts Chris Hadfield and Tom Marshburn aboard the International Space Station on docking day -- Dec. 21, 2012. Hadfield, representing the Canadian Space Agency, and NASA's Marshburn launched in the Soyuz TMA-07M spacecraft on Dec. 19 to join the three-man crew already onboard the orbital outpost.

ISS034-E-009700 (23 Dec. 2012) --- Newly arrived Expedition 34 Flight Engineer Tom Marshburn, NASA astronaut, uses the Body Mass Measurement Device in the Zvezda service module aboard the International Space Station on Dec. 23, 2012. Marshburn, along with Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield and Russian cosmonaut Roman Romanenko arrived the orbital outpost on Dec. 21 to join three other crewmen already onboard.

ISS034-E-009697 (23 Dec. 2012) --- Inside the Tranquility node of the International Space Station, Expedition 34 Commander Kevin Ford plays a ukulele on Dec. 23, 2012. Two days later, the Expedition 34 crew members assembled their voices and instruments to make Christmas music for the "folks at home," in other words, all the people celebrating Christmas on Earth.
